7PM Tuesday February 23rd 2016 - Wehrspann Lake NRD building

Our chapter will hold its February meeting this Tuesday the 23rd at our usual meeting location at Wehrspan Lake in southwest Omaha. We will be meeting on the main level of the NRD building.

We'll no doubt spend some of our time reviewing this past weekend's very successful fundraising banquet in Omaha. We had an uptick in attendance from last year, with an enthusiastic crowd sociallizing and bidding on a number of lovely and interesting items. Many thanks to Dave Jacobs for putting it together, to Mike Grubb for the program, to our those who donated items, to our friends from Cornhusker Fly Fishers and Nebraska Game and Parks for joining us, and to everyone who came out and made it a fun evening.

Please do come and participate!

November 24, 2015 archived meeting announcement.

Our chapter will hold its November meeting on November 24, 2015 at our usual meeting location at Wehrspan Lake in southwest Omaha. We will be meeting on the main level of the NRD building.

Items to be discussed include review of the first draft of our Embrace-A-Stream grant proposal to TU National for the Spotted Tail Creek project, a final version of which is due on December 15th. The plan is to use this money to fund the engineering of the project (along with money from the Chapter and Nebraska Game and Parks and the PRBE (the landowner) to use in a larger grant proposal we will file with the Nebraska Environmental Trust in 2017.

We will also have a full Treasurer's report about the recently filed Annual Financial Report, followed by a discussion to set our budget for the coming year. Along with this discussion we will make some decisions about how to comply with financial rules recently adopted at the national level. The most important of these requires someone without check-writing authority to review the financial books on a monthly basis.

Please do come and participate!
